To ensure a smooth install, all you need to do is:

  • Clear 3–4 feet around indoor/outdoor units.
  • Ensure safe, easy access—please unlock gates, dimmers, pets out of the way.

2. Install Day: Timeline & What Happens

Morning: Arrival & Setup

Our crew arrives on time (usually between 8–9 AM), greets you, and walks you through the day’s plan. They wear shoe covers, lay down drop cloths, and set up a clean workspace.

Old Unit Removal (1–2 Hours)

  • Turn off the system and disconnect power.

I called Dapper after another plumbing company, one of the big name brands, had quoted me $3000 to do a repair job that they never even looked at. That same plumber "found" about $4000 in misc other repairs that "needed to be done as well".Alex with Dapper showed up, actually looked at the problem, and said the repair would be about $1000. He also said that the other work the big box plumbing company had pointed out to me wasn't an emergency by any means and could be done when we get our plumbing upgraded here in the next year or so.I will 100% be using Dapper again, just based off of the fair pricing, the fact that they are ethical and professional. They also give discounts for Military and First Responders which is a bonus.

Eric knew his job, offered great professional advice and was a complete pro. Your prices, however, are beyond unreasonable. This was my initial post - ending with “unreasonable.” However, a leak developed and it required Dapper to stand brhind their work. The job could not have been completed by Eric the first time, because he was missing a component in the installation. Logan, second plumber - discovered this and now the job is complete. A price I initially balked at, has been justified with value.

I can’t thank Logan H. enough for his outstanding assistance with my tankless water heater system. After dealing with another company for several visits and facing exorbitant fees that didn’t solve the issue, I was left without heat or hot water on multiple occasions over the past five years! It was both frustrating and financially draining. During Logan's second visit, he took the time to explain everything clearly before getting straight to work. I required a new tankless water heater, which he efficiently ordered, and he even chose to work on his day off to ensure it was installed correctly and functioning well. I called Dapper Plumbing after having septic smell in one bathroom of our house. Entire septic had recently been replaced, so next step was a plumber. Alex and his co-worker were very professional and polite as we talked over the issue. Having some knowledge of plumbing and the septic system, I found Alex to be honest and sincere in his explanation and professional thoughts on what was the most likely cause and the repair. I had a toilet that kept backing up and almost overflowed several times. I had my septic tank pumped and thought that would solve the problem! They definitely can do it all. They replaced my furnace and heat pump for me two months ago, and did an awesome job. Today they replace my well pump and pressure tank with mini3. I know have the best water pressure that I have ever had. Both time the employees and kind, respectful, and even today at below freezing still cheerful. They advised me of some electrical and plumbing that could be, and probably should be taken care off. They did a good job of educating me on it, but no pressure tactics to get it fixed now, and understand my timely to fix them. I would recommend them to any family member or friend for any of their services. I have several that I will be using them for in the future.

Greg arrived early and was quick to get to work on my furnace. After a thorough assessment, he confirmed the blower motor was bad and presented me with quotes for repair or replacing the unit entirely. He confirmed a replacement motor was on hand and had it brought down from the warehouse quickly. In roughly three hours he had the furnace back on line. At all times he was friendly, professional, and transparent with the process. He even double-checked the manufacturer's warranty to ensure it was expired before quoting the price to repair.

Noah D was great. Bathroom sink was extremely clogged with very old pipes that hadn’t been serviced for years, and he worked quickly but thoroughly to leave me with a fully functioning bathroom. He explained everything really well, and my cats and dog loved him.

Update to this post - I just had Dapper out to the house again - (7/3/24) this time for electrical work and once again I am extremely happy with the service. Kyle S, was our electrician and he was great to work with! He was polite, friendly and knowledgable and I felt comfortable having him in my home. He finished the job quickly and did great work! Hired dapper Plumbing and electric to redo a broken pipes in my waterlines to the house.They were prompt not only an answering their phones For an appointment,, but they were on time with clear communication on what the work was going to be, and how much it would cost.I received a text message about the technician and the time to expect them, he was prompt, courteous, and very professional. My second call to Dapper this year. Both experiences were very good! Ive been in construction and construction management for 43 years and I know when people know what they are doing. Today Mitch L replaced our hot water tank and had to jump through some hoops to do it. The sign of a Tradesman is running into these inevitable challenges, creating solutions and getting the job done. Mitch L did that without losing time or missing a beat. Great job Mitch! We were told by a home inspector that it was time to change our water tank, so my husband called Dapper, and they sent a very professional young man out named Mitch L. He was very knowledgeable and thorough in his quick evaluation of our system and quickly recognized that we were going to need a narrow tank, given the location of the existing tank. He addressed this right away, had one delivered while he disconnected the old one. He provided me an estimate of repairs prior to starting the work, no unwanted surprises at the end. Clean and considerate, Mitch did such a great job for us I would recommend him to everyone! Dapper provides a text introduction, with photo, so you know who’s coming to your door, and it really adds to feeling more comfortable, instead of feeling a total stranger is in your home. My experience with Dapper was very positive, from the customer representative to Mitch who was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and did good work! I think the cost was high, but as it is near impossible to find going rates, I cannot be sure. And as plumbing problems rarely present the time and opportunity to shop around, you're pretty much at the mercy of whoever responds first. Still, if you don't have a plumber in the family, and you want the job done well, Dapper is a good find!

Mitch was nice and was able to explain the problem with leaking barb filler in the main water line pipe, I just wish it wasn't as complicated a job as originally thought, but Mitch only had to dig a little but of asphalt up and they repaired it and made it look nice after the job was done and wife was satisfied with the work done so that's always good.

I had a water heater and whole home water filter installed by Dapper. They were quick to come out and give an estimate, and they were quick to schedule the job once I accepted the bid. Communication was top notch, except for some issues regarding supply of parts outside of their control... snow will delay shipments. The install was smooth and fast for a bit of a complex system. I recommend Dapper and will use their service in the future.

My experience with Dapper was excellent. Kyle came to my home to replace the electrical panel and his expertise was evident. It was not a straightforward job as there had been some work done previously and some “loose ends” were left. I just love Dapper! Today was the second time I have had them come out (first time was a bathroom fan install) and today I called at 8am and asked someone to come out for an estimate on a freeze free outdoor faucet as I absolutely NEED one for my business and last week's freeze was a major stressor. DJ was here within 2 hours and not only gave me my estimate but installed it so no more freezing. Yay! My pipes froze and burst in my garage. I had to shut off water to the whole house. I was calling a ton of different plumbing companies and Dapper was the only one to offer day of services! I would’ve had to wait 2-3 days with no water if I went with any of the other guys. Mitch came and did a great job fixing everything and giving great tips to stop it from happening again! The price was exactly the estimate even though he had to do some extra work by cutting into my wall deeper. I would definitely recommend Mitch and Dapper to anyone !

Had Dapper Plumbing convert bathtub plumbing into a 2-head shower, and move the drain. Mitch the plumber did some problem solving and finished the project in a few hours. Kyle and Ben performed a ceiling fan installation. It was more involved than typical as there was no overhead fixture on an 18ft. ceiling. Both are electricians but did more drywall and wire routing work than actual electrical work. They brought indoor scaffolding to make then installation. Attic fixture, wiring and new wall switch were installed. They used floor covering and plastic tarps. Great job, professionally performed.

To start with the lady who answered the phone was great, we were both laughing most of the call. Made the appt. for later in the afternoon for a clogged toilet. She called me back in just minutes and asked if right then would be ok. YES!DJ G was great. He told me the process and what would happen step by step if needed. He cleared the clog right away and we visited for a few minutes and laughed a lot with him also.I truly hope I won't need plumbing help again, but if I do, I will be calling Dapper and requesting DJ G!

We had George out to do some work on our shower that was leaking. He was on time both times he had to come out and was very professional. Our total ended up being less than the estimate and his work was quality work. Before I called Dapper, I called a different company and they told me it would be two weeks before they could come out and see why our shower was leaking, Dapper was able to come out the very next day. We are very happy with both Dapper and George and will use them again!

Every experience I have had with Dapper has been fantastic. We've called on them for both plumbing and electrical work, and the dispatch service is always kind and friendly. We've never had to wait more than 2 days for someone to come and provide service, and each technician we have worked with has been highly skilled, efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. We live in a mobile home which can be tricky to work with and they've been able to help us each time we've called on them. We will continue to do business with and recommend this company.

Staff at Dapper Plumbing very responsive to my call with wet bedroom carpet. Thorough examination until leak area was found. Zak was professional and conscientious with his work to locate actual leak to ensure least amount of wallboard removal. Very good work, professional, responsive and leak repaired. We scheduled our first appointment with Dapper for this morning based on a referral from our local handyman. Ben arrived on time, listened to our description of the issue, estimated first steps and we signed off on that work. As he progressed with diagnostics it became clear our original build summer-use-only beach cabin had dangerous electrical issues that needed extensive mitigation. Ben provided photographs and explanations and we proceeded. We inquired about an annual maintenance plan which Dapper does provide so we signed up for plumbing and electrical immediately. That provided a 10% discount to this call and all future in the coming year. Ben completed his work, scheduled/estimated next steps. This was a fortunate and valuable appointment. We highly recommend Dapper. They have installed our heat pump, furnace, tankless hot water tank and upgraded our electrical panel. Will have them come back to install hook up for a generator.Everyone is extremely friendly and professional as well as on time.We have had multiple neighbors now use them for various things. Exceptional service! Our technician DJ was on time, friendly and professional. He explained what steps he was going to take to solve our water pressure issue prior to starting the work. He performed the work and offered advice on what would be good next steps to take. He provided two separate extremely reasonable quotes for additional work if we do decide to move forward. In the event we do move forward with cancelling the current PRV and installing a new one inside the house we will definitely be going with Dapper Plumbing. I'm now awaiting my plumber to come by to replace my water heater. I'm very pleased that it will be the same person who had made the initial evaluation and estimate. He was very personable, seemed to be well informed and experienced in the three water based issues that I have in my home. While Dapper Plumbing is a short distance down the freeway from my community, they had been Far more available, in a fast timely manner, than the local company that I had initially attempted to work with. Dapper came out twice, once for a walk around of services and the second time for installation. Both times, employees were personable, and very knowledgeable. Customer service with the office staff were always pleasant and super helpful. Installation of a water filtration system is a lot of work, but the installers were gracious and answered all of my questions. I was comfortable and confident with the product I purchased.
